Bolivia is home to what a lot of people call the largest, most mesmerising mirror in the world. While the term ‘mirror’ might not be an exact description, Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flats in the world, is a place few can recover from, and I mean that in the best way possible. A sprawling, 11,000-sq.-km of bright white beauty, this place was once home to the prehistoric lake Lago Minchín, which dried up and left behind the surreal spectacle it is today.
At a certain point every day, this landscape is covered with a think layer of water, and the salt flats reflect the sky everything around, coming alive in a way that has to be seen to be believed. Here are some pictures in case you aren’t convinced though.
