On Friday morning, #BoycottMyntra was trending on Twitter with many going after the e-commerce site, accusing it of insulting Lord Krishna by allegedly posting a derogatory picture on its website to promote its products.

And the tweets were plenty, like:

Myntra finally responded on Twitter to say that it wasn’t even the culprit behind the picture: 

Viral content website ScrollDroll owned up to the act, apologised for it and even gave Myntra a clean chit:
