While Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner thrashed Kolkata Knight Riders’ bowlers all around the ground, KKR batsman Robin Uthappa – whose team lost by 48 runs – was caught elbowing youngster Siddharth Kaul.
The incident took place in the third over of the second innings as table-toppers KKR unsuccessfully chased the daunting total of 210. Under pressure Uthappa got off the mark with a boundary on the last ball of the over bowled by Kaul and then shouldered the bowler when they crossed paths. It didn’t just end there, Uthappa also launched a few verbal missiles at the Hyderabad player.
Veteran Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh seemed unhappy with the KKR batsman and intervened to calm things down but before that he let his feelings known to Uthappa. The umpires also had a word with the Karnataka cricketer.
Later when the match was interrupted by rain, Yuvraj was seen having a calm chat with the KKR batsman – the former aggressor turning peacemaker in a fiery match.
