4 years ago on this very day, the ‘God of cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar bid adieu to our favourite sport. The “Little Master’ signed off in front of his home fans in Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium against the West Indies team.
In his 24-year long career, Sachin made and broke numerous records and ended his career as the only batsman to score hundred 100s in international cricket and as the highest run-getter in Tests and ODIs.
The ‘Master Blaster’ didn’t forget to mesmerise his fans in his final game as he slammed a classy 74.
India won by an innings and 126 runs as Sachin brought down the curtains over a glittering career. What followed after the match was a stirring farewell speech that moved his fans to tears across the globe.
On the 4th anniversary of his retirement anniversary, let’s relive the speech again.
