The catastrophic bush fires in Australia, which killed over 1000 koalas, burned over 2.5 million acres of Australia’s coast over the last few weeks.
Lewis was taken to the Koala hospital in Port Macquarie and was being treated for severe burns to his feet, chest and stomach.
The hospital made an announcement through a post on Facebook.
The rescue story, which made many hopeful about the Koala has now shattered a lot of hearts worldwide after the update was received.
