This scene is a definite tear-jerker that made us believe in fairy-tales all over again. The limousine scene with Richard Gere cruising his way through pigeons while opera music plays from his car. He overcame his fear of heights and climbed the winding stairs to meet Julia Roberts with flowers is breathtakingly beautiful and is the perfect example of how far someone can go for love. 

2. Jaane Tu Ya jaane Na 

If anything that screams Bollywood it would be a white horse, an airport proposal and a classic old song. Jay and Aditi (Genelia D’Souza) are guilty of this proposal when the movie climaxes with Jay (Imaran Khan) running through the airport, getting tackled down by security and then singing “Tera mujhse hai hai pehle ka nata koi…” for his lady love. 

3. 10 Things I Hate About You 

If someone sang Sinatra’s ‘I Love You Baby’ while the school band backed him up, when I was in school, I’d swoon. This movie has one of the most iconic scenes where in an attempt to apologize and win over Kat’s (Julia Stiles) heart, Pat (Heath Ledger) serenades her. Of course, she says ‘Yes!’ 

4. Yeh Jawani Hai Dewaani 

Ayan Mukherjee (Ranbir Kapoor) made everyone want to pack a bag and explore the globe. His lady love in the movie Naina (Deepika Padukone) and he were portrayed as opposites with differing outlooks on life. However, things change for good when they reunite after years. The reunion of course led to some cliche love realisation for Bunny when he showed up at her doorstep on New Year’s Eve with balloons and a cake, proposing to her with a fake ring. 

5. Harry Met Sally 

“When you realise you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible!”

After years of skirting around the idea of a ‘forever romance’, Harry (Billy Crystal) finally realizes that Sally (Meg Ryan) is the love of his life when he runs through the street to confess his love. 

6. Notting Hill 

“I am just as a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her”

The iconic moment when Anna (Julia Roberts) confesses her love for Will (Hugh Grant)  full of hope and free of inhibitions, she represented every girl’s dream!
