It’s no secret that remakes are synonymous with new Hindi movie releases. However, in recent times, many artists have called out filmmakers and other musicians for remaking original songs.
Warning: I WILL sue anyone making remixes of Vishal & Shekhar songs. I’ll even move court against the films & musicians.

After Saaki Saaki, I hear upcoming bastardisations include Dus Bahaane, Deedaar De, Sajnaji Vaari Vaari, Desi Girl & more.
Make your own songs, vultures!
And now, the singer and rapper Badshah stated in an interview with Bollywood Hungama that he will no longer be making remakes.
In an interview with Faridoon Shahryar, the rapper talked about the rising trend of remakes, the need to give due credit to original composers, and the controversy surrounding his latest song, Don’t Be Shy (from Bala).
For corporate artists it’s (a song) is just a product. For us artists, it’s our baby… Remakes bahut personal opinion hai. But kai saare remakes ab aise ho rahe hain, mujhe samajh nahin aa raha kya ho raha hai. Kyun kar rahe hain? For me I think, I am done with remakes. Because quality itni kharaab ho gai hai remakes ki.
He added that while he may have made remakes in the past, he will no longer make them.

Considering that remixes often tend to take away the charm of an original composition, Badshah’s decision may be well appreciated by music lovers.
