The internet is in a state of shock today at the news of Qandeel Baloch being murdered at the hands of her own brother. And in light of this outrageous news, and in the middle of all the ignorance surrounding it on Twitter, Richa Chadha’s tweets are kicking ass.
Engaged in a full-on Twitter war with another person, Richa Chadha spoke for Baloch and for women all over the Indian subcontinent.
As foetuses girls die at the hands of fathers, for honour they die at the hands of brothers,as wives they die for dowry #QandeelBaloch

Basically, women in the subcontinent must know that their families love them much less than they love their ‘honour’.Our lives are not ours
— RichaChadha (@RichaChadha_) July 16, 2016
And when the ignorant wielder of made-up statistics questioned her, she brought on the fire.
@RichaChadha_ don’t compare INDIA to Pak, 99.9% in India do not support honour killing. In Pak 50% do as per so many tweets by Pak Citizens.

@Ipsus09 whats the source of these numbers? The subcontinent faces the problem of ‘Honour killings’. Happens here as well. We must stop it.
— RichaChadha (@RichaChadha_) July 16, 2016
@RichaChadha_ of course we must stop it and we will stop it but don’t compare India with Pakistan be brave to call a spade a spade!
— (((A G))) (@Ipsus09) July 16, 2016

— RichaChadha (@RichaChadha_) July 16, 2016
@RichaChadha_ I understand, you want your next movie to sell in Pak so can’t call a spade a spade, but don’t compare them either.
— (((A G))) (@Ipsus09) July 16, 2016
@Ipsus09 I didn’t compare,u did Ppl are ppl, they don’t deserve murder. Honour killings are a problem of subcontinent n we can’t deny it
— RichaChadha (@RichaChadha_) July 16, 2016
@RichaChadha_ calling it a subcontinent is comparing, why can’t you say killing in Pak must stop? Can’t risk revenue? Movie Ban in Pak?
— (((A G))) (@Ipsus09) July 16, 2016

You, madam, rock. Someone needed to shut down those that are in denial about the state of women on our side of the world. Thank you.
