On January 6th, the Washington DC region received its first blanket of snow of the season. While it might not have been a reason to rejoice for most of the people in the region, a certain young giant panda named Bao Bao, in the Smithsonian National Zoo, had the time of her life frolicking in the snow, playing with a stick and with her mom.

As Bao Bao is one of the few giant pandas in the world bred in captivity, this is her first snow day in the outdoor enclosure, which she shares with her mom, Mei Xiang.

Here’s the video shot by the zoo authorities.

Considering giant pandas are an endangered species, I hope Bao Bao sees many more snow days in her life.
