Harry Potter is one of the best things that has happened to the world. If you disagree with me, there is a horde of fervent Harry Potter lovers behind me. The saying goes, don’t judge a book by its cover. But for something like Harry Potter and the sheer world of awesomeness that you get sucked into as soon as you open the book, (kind of like when Harry gets sucked into Riddle’s diary in Chamber of Secrets), it deserves a pretty kickass cover. Take a look at these book covers from around the world, while some fall flat, some are pure awesome-juice.
UK Children edition illustrated by Thomas Taylor
The Harry Potter editions that we got in India were UK Children edition illustrated by Thomas Taylor. Though neat and uncluttered, the illustrations were a tad bit boring and obvious.
In 2014, Bloomsbury stepped up its game and how! John Dudley created these super snazzy covers which just invite you in.
