They say never ask a woman with a winged eyeliner why she’s late, and rightly so. Just a dash of an eye liner can take you from casual to classy in an instant. And achieving that perfect shape is no mean feat! We’ve all been there, trying to perfect the cat eye, for minutes, sometimes even hours altogether. Whether it is a casual everyday look we’re sporting or a classy look for a special occasion, good old cat eye always comes to our rescue. But how about we ditch the cat eye for once, and try some other liner trends?
Are you game? Well, here are some of the best liner trends that will help you glide your way to glory:
1.Double up
You can opt for this style for that on fleek corporate look. Master this art by starting with the basic eyeliner, and then beginning from the middle, going to the outer end on the lower lid, and minutely joining it to the upper tip.
You can check out the easy-to-do tutorial here.
2. Dropped flick
If minimalism is what you want but don’t wish to compromise on style, you can go for this look. Draw a line on the upper eyelid and make it droop slightly lower as compared to the end of the outer corner of your eye, and voila! You’re sorted for that party.

3. Bold
One of our personal favourites, keep your sass intact by going bare on the lower lid with this one. Just draw a thick even line on your upper lid and you are good to go.

4. Feline
Also known as the hyped cat eye trend, draw a single line that thickens as you move towards the end and close it with a pointed tip for this one. This look adds to the character of your makeup and gives your eyes the perfect catty sharpness.

5. Double flick
To double up your sass, just double up the liner. Yes, it’s that simple! Start with a single flick liner. When you’re done, draw a line a little below the original lower lash line and do not join the tips in the end. Quirky, isn’t it?

6. Arabic
This look is perfect for the days when you don’t feel like doing a lot of make-up but still want to draw attention to your eyes. Start the line a little before your inner corner of the eyelid, going towards the end on both the upper and lower lid and close it with an edgy tip.

7. Slept in smudge
Rock that straight out-of-bed look with this technique. Draw the basic line on the upper eyelid and fuzz it out a bit. Then, draw a sharp line on the lower lid and go till the end, matching it with the upper tip that you already drew, and you’re done!

8. Egyptian
Master Cleopatra’s charm by donning this unique liner style. Double up your liner, and re-line your lower lid once again, going a little beneath the actual lower eyelid mixing up in between with the line you already drew. If you like experimenting, this look is for you.

9. Double mod
If you’re the daring types, spice up your boring outfit with this much glamorous look. Start a line from the outer tip of your eye going all the way on to the lower brow area of your eyelid, slowly closing it up near the inner end of the eye.

9. Open wings
When in doubt, wing it out! Draw a line both on the upper and lower lid line and instead of joining them in the end, let the upper tip go higher, and droop down the lower tip.

10. Drama
Add some drama by drawing thicker lines both on the upper and lower eyelid and extend the shape of the eye with this simple trick.

14. Soft smoke
Today’s winged eyeliner can be tomorrow’s smokey eye! And if you wanna start afresh, just double up your eyes in the basic way but don’t forget to smudge the kohl using a cotton dab or just your finger!

15. Graphic
When you feel like experimenting, you can try various patterns that you can draw around, on and below your eyelid to add that extra edge to your makeup. But make sure you wear lighter shades of lip colours to go with it.

May the power of the eyeliner be with you!
