Rowling weaves a rich tale which starts off on a bright note but gets progressively darker with each book adding to the building climax.
It is an incredibly detailed book too, right from how broomsticks stay up in the air to names of random characters which have been dug out from old mythological legends to literary sources, Latin, Greek, Old Anglo-Saxon; she borrows words to create names for characters which tell you about their flaws and virtues.
