Imagine fine dining luxury experience, while at sea. Mumbai has got its first ever floating hotel- the AB Celestial —at the Bandra Jetty, adding oodles of glam to the popular Bandra-Worli Sea Link.
This luxury three-tiered yacht offers a 24-hour coffee shop on the ground floor, a banquet hall on the first and a lavish lounge bar on the top. And if you’re thinking that it sounds fantastic, what will make you go gaga is the sky lounge and dining which nestles on the open terrace under the starry night on the sea. Also, don’t forget the 360-degree view of Mumbai and the Arabian sea. Doesn’t that sound absolutely mindblowing?
This may not be a fresh concept as one can find such floating diners in Goa, Kerala and Kolkata but this yacht, launched by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation in association with WB International Consultant and AB Hospitality, was already built in 2004 in the US. It only got delayed until early 2017 because of the several issues it faced regarding permissions required from the Government.
Focused at international as well as local tourists, this floating wonderland can host upto 660 members and you may grab a table on an online booking system just so that you don’t return from the doorsteps (that will suck, you know!) that are opening for the public from March 15 to 20.
