Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan is in India to act as an expert for the ongoing Indian Premier League.
He is also using this time to travel across the country and talking about it in one of the tweets, he mentioned stray animals on the road, which didn’t go down well with people.
Love traveling in #India … So far this morning we have seen Elephants,Cows,Camels,Sheep,Goats & Pigs all in the middle of the road … #OnOn

The tweet agitated Indians and they did not leave any stone unturned to express their displeasure.

Dear Mike,

You should have seen this place 200 years ago when great grand generation of yours came here in the name of TRADE, & we all know what happened later,,,,
all you are seeing is the after-effects of looting India for 200 years during the British reign. We have yet not recovered from that past. what more do you expect ? now the result is in front of you what we have been dealing with ever since

However, there were also some people who didn’t find Vaughan’s tweet offensive.
Crazy eco-system … That’s why we Indians don’t change … Daily constitutional on the roads & rail tracks and encourage animals all around… Farms have been destroyed by stray cattle and yet we are cheeky about all this …
— Gurnihal Pirzada (@GurnihalP) April 9, 2019
I dont see it as an insult. It is in our culture that we believe this world belongs to every living beings. Infact west should learn from India on how to respect other beings. caging is not. #OnOn

Damn yall need to up your sarcasm game. Literally get offended by everything. Everyone knows how developed India is but these guys don’t get to see this vintage lifestyle back in England. So obv that excites them n yall get offended fr no reason.
— Bhavyajot (@Bhavyajot1) April 10, 2019
Correct mate, everyone has thr fangs up but its the truth. We talk about cows and animals while never take care and keep them safe away from road. We Indians need to listen to good and bad and work on negative.I guess most ppl here dont realise they dont find this issue outside.

Irrespective of everything, Vaughan had to tweet again, saying that he finds India more relaxing than his home.
