After a stunningly poor rebuttal against allegations of racism in India, BJP leader Tarun Vijay took to Twitter in order to apologise for his statements.
Mywords perhaps were not enough to convey this.Feel bad,really feel sorry, my apologies to those who feel i said different than what I meant https://t.co/I7MddEJk5W

I feel the entire statement sas this- we have fought racism and we have people with different colour and culture still never had any racism.

Vijay in a recent interview on Al Jazeera while trying to defend India against the charge of racism following attacks on African students, he said, “We have blacks, black people around” and asked, “If we were racist, why would we have the entire south?”
However, the former MP was nothing but contrite on Twitter as he tried to make amends:
I can die but how can I ridicule my own culture,my own people and my own nation?Think before you misinterpret my badly framed sentence. Yes https://t.co/fyxJQuP3mI

And, I never , never, even in a slip, termed south india as black. have patience to watch the show before reacting angrily. https://t.co/fyxJQuP3mI

But Twitterati weren’t exactly sympathetic:
@Tarunvijay Oh! We The ‘Madrasis’!

I am less aghast by the south Indian dark stantement, than the belief that India is a north indian entity in which others live.#tarunvijay

Calling us ‘black’ wasn’t offensive. But that patronizing remark about living with us, was. #TarunVijay

Sorry for being an embarrassment Tarun Vijay ji and #ThankYouTarunVijay ji for still living with me— Scotchy (@scotchism) April 7, 2017
#TarunVijay is proof that RSS is essentially anti-national divisive ideology.
