After crashing out of the T20 World Cup and their coach Waqar Younis stepping down, nothing seems to be going right for the Pakistani cricket team, and if the fall from grace wasn’t enough, Vinod Kambli of all people decided to put his name in for the post of Pakistan’s coach.
While the PCB is already in a spot following the embarassing performance at the T20 World Cup, Vinod Kambli once again managed to land himself in a soup with a Tweet, where he said he was ready to coach the boys from across the border.
@asmashirazi. SalamAlekhum Asma ji.I heard PCB is looking for a Head coach .I am” Available “👍

Twitter erupted as users took the opportunity to troll the former cricketer known for his atypical tweets.
Some expressed their concern for the Pakistani team.

@vinodkambli349 @asmashirazi उन्हें खेलना सीखना है रोना नहीं कांबली भाई

Some were outright brutal,
Vinod Kambli wants to coach #Pakistan. As if talented Pakistani cricketers need more inspiration to throw their careers away.
— Vijay Venkataramanan (@7th_Samurai) April 7, 2016
Vinod Kambli wants to coach Pakistan Cricket Team. And knowing how big idiots PCB members are, this might happen.
— Ghuman (@cinghh) April 6, 2016
Some came out in support.
Why can’t @vinodkambli349 be Pakistan’s coach? His batting avg. in Tests is better than all Pakistan batsmen who hv played at least 10 Tests

And this is what Vinod Kambli had to say,
Bhaijaan Salam. Mein berojghaar nahin hoon.Agar wasim Akram IPL mein coach ban sakte hai toh mein Q nahin#PCB

Meanwhile Vinod Kambli’s offer isn’t entirely a bad idea, since the Pakistani squad need all the help they can get following their recent performances.
