In a shocking attack, at least 80 persons were killed when a truck drove into people standing to watch fireworks on Bastille Day in the town of Nice in France.
The large white truck plunged into the crowd on Thursday night as hundreds of people were on Nice’s beachfront Promenade des Anglais to watch the fireworks for France’s national day. The driver of the truck was subsequently shot by police officers and killed. Officials said the man was carrying guns and other weapons in the truck.
There were multiple videos on social media that captured the horror of people as the truck drove through the crowd and the ensuing panic.

It’s still not known who the driver of the truck was and the reason for him carrying out the attack. All that is known presently is that it was a 31-year-old man who was originally from Tunisia.
