As crisp orange beams illuminate the dawn sky, it is unfortunate that the beauty of our Sun is often taken for granted. Maybe because it has always just been there.
The Russian Space Agency, Roskosmos, has imagined how the world would be if our Sun was replaced with other stars. What would it look like if we were to be revolving around stars like Alfa-Centauri, Sirius, Vega, Arcturus or Polaris?
Watch this fascinating video, produced by TV Roskosmos , depicting the various stars over the horizon.
So, switch off the lights, turn on the HD and turn on the captions, if you wish to know what the stars are called.
And let this video take your breath away.
One day, if and when you see a blazing Alpha Centauri light up our world, at least you will not be surprised.
