Last week, self-proclaimed godwoman Radhe Maa (real name Sukhvinder Kaur) paid a visit to East Delhi’s Vivek Vihar police station. She has been accused in two ongoing separate cases, one of which is a dowry harassment case in Mumbai.
But this made no difference to the policemen who fawned over her. They went beyond their brief to receive the godwoman, giving her a grand welcome.

A group of policemen was visibly elated that the self-styled godwoman had graced the occasion with her presence at a Ram Lila function in New Delhi. The cops were seen singing bhajans while Radhe Maa was seen swaying to the tunes.

Radhe Maa was also photographed sitting on the station house officer’s (SHO) chair. However, after drawing a lot of flak for letting the godwoman sit in his chair and giving her preferential treatment, the SHO told Hindustan Times that she sat on his chair without asking for permission.
The officer claimed that Radhe Maa with her followers in tow, had entered the office to use the washroom, but since the “chair was located close to the washroom”, Radhe Maa decided to sit on it without asking anyone.
Following the widespread criticism, Delhi police ordered a probe into the incidents and transferred five officials. “An inquiry has been initiated against the SHO and five police personnel and they have been sent to district lines,” Joint Commissioner of Police, Eastern Range, Ravindra Yadav was quoted by PTI.

However, Twitter did not take this episode very well.
One of them even pointed out how the red dupatta conveniently got wrapped around the SHO’s neck.
