Raju, a resident of Loni in Ghaziabad, was accused four years ago of kidnapping and raping a minor, and a non-bailable warrant was issued against him for not attending the trial for the last six months.
However, the court has now recalled the arrest order on one bizarre condition.
The accused reportedly has to plant five saplings and submit an affidavit ascertaining the compliance.
It’s a first-of-its-kind order, where a submission for recalling the arrest order (by the accused) has been met in such a way.
The non-bailable warrant was issued by a special judge (fast track) Rakesh Vashishtha, but the court has not recalled the arrest order on the aforementioned conditions.
