Three Pakistani terrorists along with a ‘local’ from Punjab are on the move in a grey Swift DZire car, says a warning issued by the Punjab Police.
The Director General of Police (Law & Order) Punjab and Chandigarh told ANI, that the alert was sounded after receiving an input from Special Cell Delhi police stating that the terrorists were heavily armed with arms and ammunitions and may also be carrying a suicide vest.
Some reports suggest the grey car had a J&K number plate – JK-01 AB-2654.
The cops said the terrorists are likely to cross Banihal Tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir late on Wednesday night.
An alert has been issued across all states to step up security, police officers have been asked to ensure careful and detailed security checks at important public and military buildings, markets, malls, train stations and educational institutions.
The DGP was told ANI that the terrorists could be planning to attack Delhi, Goa and Mumbai.
