Plastic is bad. It is also banned in Tamil Nadu.
So when PM Modi went for plogging along a coast in Mamallapuram, the irony of him collecting plastic in plastic wasn’t lost on people.
With all due respect Mr Prime Minister.. I believe plastics are banned in tamilnadu.. Isn’t so? Then where did you get this plastic bag? Walk the talk Sir.. No offence meant and non taken I guess.. now students are asking plastic bags saying when modi ji can violate why not me pic.twitter.com/9ULYJ7n5nL

The roads from Chennai to Mahabalipuram are bloody clean ( no dust , no garbage ) , but apparently the beach near the place the PM stays isdirty . And he is usinga plastic bag that banned in TN to collect trash . #gobackmodi #Actor_modi pic.twitter.com/1iNPIVfYYF

Obviously, the message he is giving out is much bigger but with all the resources at disposal, things could have been planned better.
So Modi ji was “plogging” on the beach with what looks like a single-use plastic bag.

Great script but minus 10 for terrible acting.
PS: wasn’t this also his yoga costume when he did those contorted poses on a big rock in his backyard? 🧐 pic.twitter.com/sEE4UKUo62
Why modi is using single use plastic bag?#plasticbanhypocricy

Nice job sir. But unfortunately while cleaning sir you forgot and were using plastic bag which is banned. I know the bag is recyclable but still gives wrong message to the contry.

There were other technical glitches, as well. For instance, the video starts with him walking on the beach all alone, picking up waste with bare hands. And then suddenly a plastic bag appears in his hand.
My PM Modi ji plogging #Mamallapuram beach all by himself without any garbage bin for full 40 seconds after which one big plastic garbage bag appears apparently from nowhere! I am hugely inspired! #SwachhBharat pic.twitter.com/9oSP8z2vKZ

Hahaha , I could see all the garbage in Modi’s “PLASTIC” bag only in last image. https://t.co/w3QeyLzhYq

He later handed his ‘collection’ to the staff of hotel where he was presumably staying.
