Earlier this week, another horrific incident of violence against women came to light. A 27-year-old woman was brutally raped and burnt alive in Hyderabad.

The nation is shaken by this incident and the internet is rightly outraged at the depravity and sheer horror. And the worst part is, this sadly isn’t even out of the ordinary for our country which was recently ranked the most unsafe place for women.
A shocking statistic says reported rapes nearly DOUBLED in just three months after the Nirbhaya incident. A/National Crime Bureau, a woman is raped every 20 min in India & it’s on the rise & what do we do to fight it?? Change our DPs! We all have failed as a society #RIPHumanity

Soon after the shocking incident came into the limelight, people expressed their fury throught the hashtag #RIPhumanity.
Growth & development is useless when we have no respect for our fellow human beings, when women feel afraid even to step out.Forget making big buildings & infra, start focusing on moulding better human beings. Home, schools, companies, govt must work together on this #RIPHumanity

Shame on us. All I can say is #RIPHumanity. We can fight for who eats beef, pork, meat and eggs. But won’t teach, mobilise and sensitise society and men in particular on how to behave with women? Would you have been silent if it was ur sister & daughter?#PunishRapistsInPublic

Think of her family once what they must be going through…
Where is @PMOIndia where are those politicians who can tweet of political issues but not of crime like this..where are those actors who make anouncement of upcoming movies from months but not of this…
The family of the victim had called the police the same night but they refused to search the area and started questioning the antecedents of the victim. This is the protection police provides to the common citizens. They deserve to be terminated without pension. #RIPHumanity pic.twitter.com/G5zXCnj13F

No action has taken against Nirbhaya rapist till now.
How strict this gov is in a Traffic violation, but when it comes to women’s security, it becomes silent.
These heinous criminals should be given the death penalty.#RIPHumanity pic.twitter.com/n5xYua2JRQ
The judiciary can function in mid-night, the highest office can pass order mid-night, government can form in mid-night. How come the whole functionary is silent? #RIPHumanity #HyderabadHorror #humanitykilled pic.twitter.com/IlYVPKL6nW
