Matt Le Blanc, who is currently hosting Top Gear, has apparently made it abundantly clear to the show’s producers — “Remove Chris Evans or I’m out”.

Sources who are part of the show have informed The Sun that Le Blanc has “grown increasingly frustrated with his co-star’s (Evans) rudeness and frosty attitude towards the team”.

“Matt has already indicated that he won’t continue on any further series if Chris remains a part of it,” reported The Sun

It further states that Matt isn’t the only one who’s feeling this way. Evans has allegedly been rude to members of the crew on set.

“He also seems to be jealous of the attention and praise which has been heaped on Chris Harris and Rory Reid in particular since the show began,” said one of the insiders, while adding that, “He just isn’t interested. He doesn’t even hang out with the others back stage and firmly keeps his distance from all of them at the aerodrome.”

These rumours are emerging at a time when the show is already suffering from a sharp decline in viewership, with only 2.34 million people watching last week’s episode, hitting a 10-year low, whereas the first episode had attracted 4.4 million views, reports The Telegraph UK.

While a spokesman for Le Blanc, who’s reported to be “the best thing about the show” told The Sun that nothing had been “discussed or decided”, the BBC told The Telegraph UK it would not be commenting on the claims.

The show ever since the removal of its original host, Jeremy Clarkson, has been embroiled in multiple controversies.

Lisa Clark, its executive producer, quit at the end of last year reportedly due to Evans’ tyrannical behaviour.

The second Top Gear series is scheduled to begin filming in September. But now that the ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S’ star has given his ultimatum, it is believed that the show may be shelved till they take their final decision.
