Mohammed Zahur “Khayyam” Hashmi had composed music in iconic movies like Kabhie Kabhie and Umrao Jaan. His illustrious career spanned over four decades. He was a Padma Bhushan awardee.
Legendary music composer Khayyam has passed away at the age of 92.

He was admitted to Sujoy Hospital in Mumbai due to lung infection back in July. He passed away Monday night due to a cardiac arrest.
Many took to Twitter to remember the legend and his evergreen music.
India will remain grateful to Khayyam Sahab for giving us some of the most memorable compositions, which will be remembered forever. He will also be remembered for his humanitarian gestures to support upcoming artists. His demise is extremely saddening.
