Rain in Mumbai is no less than a horror for the residents. After a short break, rain is back in the city and as always it has brought life to a standstill.

According to a report by India Today, Mumbai saw heavy rainfall today morning. Hours of incessant rainfall led to water-logging and heavy traffic in several areas.

After warning Mumbaikars of a forecast of heavy rain spanning across the next 2 days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert.


Heavy rainfall has caused disruption in the lives of people and reports suggest that schools will remain shut today.
In wake of IMD’s warning of heavy rainfall for the rest of the day too, the schools shall remain closed today. The Principals of the schools where students are already in, are requested to take all precautions and ensure that the children are sent back home carefully and safely.
