In a bid to control pollution in Delhi, the state government today proposed a ‘odd/even’ number formula for cars. Under this scheme, cars with odd number plate and even number plate will be allowed to ply on roads only on alternate days.
The proposal has come just a day after the Delhi High Court observed that the current air pollution levels in the national capital have reached “alarming” proportions and it was akin to “living in a gas chamber”.
But here’s how Twitter responded to the plan:

#DelhiGovt #OddEvenFormula is most idiotic idea. Instead check single occupant cars, and enforce #Carpooling on them. . @ArvindKejriwal
