Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is in a spot of controversy thanks to a clip that allegedly shows him slapping the chief of the Bellary municipal corporation.
While the bureaucrat has claimed that he was never slapped by the chief minister, the video shows an irate Siddaramaiah raise his hand at the official.
The chief minister was allegedly irritated by the large crowds that had rushed towards him at the event in Bellary and didn’t know that the man in front of him was the municipal commissioner of the town.
The official told India Today:
“It is true that Siddaramaiah raised his hand to direct the security personnel to prevent the commotion. He did not slap me.”
Even the chief minister has denied slapping the official.
