According to a report by NDTV, the minimum temperature in Delhi dropped to 4.5 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
It was another chilly morning for Delhiites as the city continued to reel under an intense cold spell.
This is three degrees below the normal average temperature of this season.
An official statement by the IMD officials said that the weather will remain partly cloudy with not much sunlight.
“Winds from the northwest are making Delhi colder than usual at this time of the season. It will continue to be this cold for another two-three days. After that, it will slowly start getting warmer.”
With the presence of heavy fog, as many as 11 trains headed into Delhi got delayed. The air quality also deteriorated ranging from ‘poor’ to ‘very poor’ categories.
