For the last few days, the situation in Kashmir has been extremely tense with the increased deployment of troops in the region, and a restriction on communication and public movement. Reports have even appeared that former chief ministers, Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah, are under house arrest.
Viewing the ongoing developments, actor Anupam Kher tweeted that this was a solution to the Kashmir situation.
Kashmir Solution has begun.🇮🇳
— Anupam Kher (@AnupamPKher) August 4, 2019
Many people called him out for his tweet, stating that creating a ‘war-like’ situation was not a solution, even as Anupam Kher continued to defend his tweet.
Genocide to 1990 mei hua tha @bainjal ji. Kashmiri pandito ka. Jiske baare mei aap sabka convenient memory loss ho chuka hai. Ab to sudhaar hone ki sambhavna hai. 🙏 https://t.co/J1I3txW7NK

Let me jog your own memory a bit.The BJP, notwithstanding the Pandit exodus then, had continued to support the then government. The governor Jagmohan too had encouraged Pandits to flee , while old media hands like me had then said that was wrong, and once we say this too is wrong. https://t.co/15GwaQRNfS

May god bless innocents in Kashmir, because Modi is going to f*** up in Kashmir too just as he has always done to everything.
Did PM @narendramodi personally inform you about what he is up to?
— Saral Patel (@SaralPatel) August 4, 2019
In a democratic country like ours, PM is answerable to the people of the country, has PM Modi decided that he is answerable only to @AnupamPKher? #Kashmir https://t.co/4CEsLiHw8t
As of now, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has declared in Rajya Sabha that Article 370 has been revoked for Jammu & Kashmir.
