The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards announced their yearly nominations on Wednesday. While this year was full of really interesting, experimental and foot-tapping music, let’s rejoice at the fact that women are dominating the 2020 nominations.
Not to mention, newcomers like hip-hop artist Lizzo topped the nominations with 8 nods. While Billie Eilish and Lil Naz X followed her lead with 6 nominations in different categories. This is the first time for all of them to be getting a Grammy nomination.
Right behind these three are Ariana Grande and H.E.R with five nominations each.
But the best part about this year’s Grammy awards is that Alicia Keys would be hosting the event for the second time in a row. This will make her the third woman and the first female musician to host the show twice.
