Heroes are important. And not just because they can fight our wars for us, but because they can inspire us to do better. And therein lies the entire idea of superhero comics and movies. 

Ever since X-Men released in 2000, marking the beginning of the superhero genre, we have been gifted with numerous such heroes, and characters otherwise, who have but made us a little more hopeful.
