In India, the taboo surrounding menses is ridiculously deep rooted. Instead of it being deemed to be a natural and healthy process, most of us women have been conditioned to hide the fact that we’re on our periods, and for often than not, to be ashamed of it.
What is even more alarming is the lack of awareness amongst men about the process of menstruation, and everything the five days of bleeding entail.
