Almost everybody today has a comment to make about the most ‘overhyped’ crime in India, rape. Be it politicians, khap panchayats or the Godmen in India, everyone is quick to offer their outlandish theory about the causes and remedies of rape.
Rape has been oddly justified by reasons as bizarre as ‘wearing jeans’ to ‘eating chowmein.’ The story, however, never ends there. The social stigma attached to the crime aggravates the pain even more.
These posters created by Himani Auplish as a social media campaign for a class project and originally uploaded on Behance shows how the society judges rape victims and never the rapist. But the best part is, they show how simple the solution is: change the way we think.
