Ian Woolford has more than 14k followers on Twitter and more than 20k likes on his tweets. Why, you ask? Because this Australian professor tweets in Hindi! He writes in impeccable Hindi and also shares his views on legendary and contemporary Hindi writers. Not just this, if you hear him speak, his fluency in the language will leave you pleasantly surprised! 

Ian’s affair with Hindi started at the a very young age. When he was 12, his mom admitted him to a school in Trinidad, where he grew up singing bhajans and folk songs with his peers. And during graduation, he started his formal education in Hindi.

He is a huge Hindi literature enthusiast and is fond of Hindi poems.

Ian, who completed his MA and PhD in Hindi language and literature from the University of Texas in America, developed a particular interest in the works of legendary Hindi writer, Phanishwar Nath Renu. He even visited the poet’s native village in Bihar.

He’s also writing a book on Phanishwar Nath Renu, which is yet to be released.
