Many health experts may have told you that exercise is key to living a long life, that fat-free food, a sugarless diet is what you should aim for. But do we really have the strength for that?
Turns out, there’s an easier (more fun) way to make sure we live longer. And this study proves it.
The key to living a long life, according to a study, is drinking alcohol and coffee.
The study was conducted by researchers at the University of California, Irvine Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders over a period of 15 years.
The goal of the study was to find what makes people live to age 90 and beyond and what types of food, activities or lifestyles were associated with living longer.
The key is to have both beverages in moderate amounts.
As concluded by study,
“People who drank moderate amounts of alcohol or coffee lived longer than those who abstained.”
If you’re worried about all the chakhna you’ll be eating along with this, don’t you worry! Your beer belly is your friend. According to the study,
“People who were overweight in their 70s lived longer than normal or underweight people did.”
In conclusion, this New Year’s, definitely not feeling guilty about that extra drink, all that pizza, or the coffee I’m about to have the morning after.
To living longer! Cheers! *Clink*
