Here’s what netizens have to say about Sophie Turner’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix, the story of Jean Grey evolving into her dark side-
Dark Phoenix was incredible! Great balance of plot and action, and @SophieT blew me away! 10/10 go see it! #XMenDarkPhoenix

i just watched #DarkPhoenix and it was SO GOOD. Sophie Turner is just brilliant in it. I had all the feels, especially ’cause it is indeed, really dark at times

(1/4) I saw #DarkPhoenix. No worry about the movie, it’s not a mess, terrible or bad. It’s decent for most of the time. Some cringe/corny lines are in, but the biggest problem with this movie is that it’s so fucking rushed. The pacing is wayyyyyy to fast to care about Jean!

(4/4) Critics are very harsh and rude with this movie. It’s way better than Apocalypse, Last stand and Origins. Action is great, soundtrack amazing, cinematography awesome and the acting from everyone really really good! #DarkPhoenix NEEDS an extended cut! 6/10

#DarkPhoenix is breathtaking and awesome. Tour de force performance from @SophieT. True justice for the end of an Era in the X-Men franchise.

#DARKPHOENIX REVIEW:
— shana’s movie reviews (@shanareviews) June 5, 2019
My expectations were low but still got disappointed. Storyline was so dull and anticlimactic. It also barely showed how powerful the Phoenix Force inside Jean. It’s more like Dark Jean, not Dark Phoenix. It’s such a shame this franchise ended like this. 😩 pic.twitter.com/KlVJiroMAZ
dark phoenix is one of the most astonishing movies i’ve watched. it’s honestly a masterpiece, and believe me when i say magneto is the best part of the movie. definitely a must-watch!

I watched Dark Phoenix. And I don’t understand why (and) the critics give 1 or 2/10 to this movie. Sure it’s not perfect and certainly not the best movie of the year. But it’s better than The last stand, Apocalypse or X-men Wolverine : origins.

I didn’t hate #DarkPhoenix as much as many of my peers. Yes, there’s some dumb shit (a lot of dumb shit) and dead-eye performances, but there *are* fun moments. And Storm is portrayed as one of the most powerful mutants on the team (as she should be). pic.twitter.com/AueBw4TJ76

the fundamental flaw that these movies keep making is the “powerful woman = unstable and violent” when that’s 10000000% not what the Phoenix Saga OR the Dark Phoenix saga are about
— your nola employee (@nolapfau) June 5, 2019
Jean is FINE as Phoenix until a man (Jason Wyngarde) starts gaslighting the shit out of her
#DarkPhoenix is a decent enough send-off for the X-Men franchise. It shakes up the formula in interesting ways, and the performances are mostly solid. It’s been a fun 20 years with this incarnation, and for the most part I’ll miss those people.

I can be a harsh critic of movie and I’d like to consider myself not bias. I think the critics and myself watched a different movie.. #DarkPhoenix was a movie where FINALLY all X-Men characters stood out!!vibrant, dark and well executed. Bravo.

I would say #DarkPhoenix is on par with First Class definitely better than X1, Apocalypse, and TLS … really like how Storm, Scott, and Jean were written! 👍

#DarkPhoenix

1. VFX WAS BETTER THAN CAPTAIN MARVEL
2. THE ACTION SEQUENCE WAS MY CHILDHOOD SELF’S DREAM COMING TO LIFE
3. THE SCRIPT THO IS A BIT GENERIC
4. SOPHIE TURNER’S FACIAL REACTIONS GAVE ME CHILLS
5. I’M AN EMOTIONAL WRECK AT THE END
6. THE PACING WAS PERFECT FOR ME
I knew immediately that a lot of people would hate #DarkPhoenix, but I found it refreshing to watch a Marvel movie that’s not cramming jokes down your throat every 5 minutes and actually has good action sequences 🤷🏻♀️

(3/4) And it’s a shame. Because this could be (with a complete new edit) a goddamn masterpiece. They cut sooo much character development and important scenes out this movie which were so important for the characters to relate with them. This is the WHOLE problem with Dark Phoenix

My positive SPOILERY #DarkPhoenix thoughts:
— b (@HARPlELADY) June 5, 2019
– Mystique struggling to tell Beast she loved him as she died left me for dead.
– We get a brief glimpse of the phoenix form and the phoenix bird.
– Jessica Chastain’s Vuk and the D’Bari provided excellent gore and mythology. pic.twitter.com/KWFtulsapD
Hell no Apocalypse was better than this #DarkPhoenix crap they could’ve rather ended these younger X Men with Apocalypse , Dark Phoenix is a waste of time and money and the #XMen series should’ve ended with Logan
— Kurt Lavezzi (@KurtLavezzi) June 5, 2019
Just finished rewatching #XMen Days of Future Past. In no surprise whatsoever: that movie is still f***ing comic book cinematic perfection.
— Rob-Rule of 2 Review (@Ruleof2Review) June 3, 2019
It’s also better than 100% of the MCU films (along with Logan). It’s seriously THAT good. #DarkPhoenix hype intensifies!
Any Dark Phoenix reviews that harp on continuity and the characters’ ages are just wasting words at this point. But I guarantee that will be a prevalent complaint this week like it’s some new factor.

And, that’s the tea.
