Behind every successful man is… Zendaya threatening to dump him?

Okay, not really. But Tom Holland just shared the pookiest story from behind the scenes of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, and frankly, we’re never recovering from this much cuteness.

During a recent interview, Tom Holland revealed that when Christopher Nolan first offered him The Odyssey, he was already stuck in a scheduling nightmare. Spider-Man: Brand New Day was supposed to begin filming on the exact same day as Nolan’s epic, leaving him with what was probably the toughest career decision of his life.

“I sat down with Z and was like, ‘I’ve been offered this movie… It’s the big one,’” Tom recalled.

Zendaya immediately knew what he meant.

“‘Chris?’”

“‘Yeah, it’s Chris Nolan.’”

Then she dropped a banger-of-a-line that’s now living rent-free on the internet.

“I’ll leave you if you don’t do The Odyssey.”

Before anyone starts writing breakup headlines, relax. She was kidding. But the message was crystal clear, that you don’t say no to Christopher Nolan. The moment got even better when Nolan, who was sitting beside Tom during the interview, laughed and responded, “Well, thank you to her. Here I am.”

We love a director who knows when he’s won.

Of course, convincing Zendaya wasn’t the hard part. Convincing Sony was! Bahahah.

Tom Holland revealed that he had to make a “very difficult phone call” to Sony chairman Tom Rothman because Spider-Man and The Odyssey were literally set to begin shooting on the same day. Thankfully, Sony shuffled the schedule, allowing him to film both projects.

Superman Superman’s director to the RESCUE!

But wait, Zendaya wasn’t just cheering him on from the sidelines. Christopher Nolan actually asked Tom if he thought she’d be interested in joining the film too.

Tom Holland admitted he briefly panicked when Nolan said, “Do you mind if I ask you a question? Please don’t be offended.” He hilariously assumed the director was about to bring up his height.

Instead, Chirs Nolan simply asked whether Zendaya would like to play Athena. Tom went home, told her to read the script again, and the rest is history.

And if you thought the cuteness stopped there, think again.

Tom recently revealed that he stayed on set during one of Zendaya’s toughest emotional scenes, despite not having to film that day. “I’m here if you need me,” he told her. Zendaya later called sharing The Odyssey with Tom Holland “such a gift.”

Green flags, yeah, more like emerald forests!

Zendaya & Tom Being Adorable AF

The couple is basically a walking-talking green forest. So discussing just one cute moment would be unfair, and wait, almost criminal.

A number of occasions have contributed to them being perceived as one of Hollywood’s most down-to-earth couples.

The Lip Sync Battle Tease

Zendaya teased Holland about his memorable Lip Sync Battle performance during a lighthearted interview. Tom Holland did a rendition of Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and added full choreography and rain effects to his performance, despite promising Zendaya beforehand that it would be “low-key.”

Zendaya stated:

“There was rain and there was a wardrobe change… I did not expect that.”

Awww, and we didn’t expect this cute as f leg pulling, but here we are!

The “Quizzies” Moment

In an interview with BuzzFeed Celeb, Holland mistakenly called quizzes “quizzies.” As soon as he said it, Zendaya erupted into laughter, repeatedly saying, “Quizzies?” as she leaned towards him and tried to contain her laughter.

The video clip became viral because it captured unplanned and spontaneous interaction and fans digged it too much.

From “Sweetheart” To “Idiot”

In another humorous interaction, Zendaya referred to Holland as “oh sweetheart” then immediately followed up with “you’re an idiot,” all within seconds.

Lads, that’s exactly the kinda mood swings you gotta deal with if you wanna be with a diva.

My MJ” Birthday Post

For Zendaya’s birthday, Holland shared a behind-the-scenes mirror selfie from their time filming Spider Man and captioned it with “My MJ.”

AWWWWWWWW, in caps!

The picture began to circulate online shortly after Holland posted it. Many fans took this post as an indirect but significant public statement about his love for Zendaya.

(Yes, we all are begaani shaadis me abdullah deewana).

“I think Zendaya just pulled up..”

Tom Holland stopped mid-interview at the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home when he realized Zendaya had arrived at the red carpet. He remarked:

“I think Zendaya just pulled up. That sounds like Zendaya just pulled up.”

That’s it! The world can pause, his lady just showed up. Tom is suchhha cutie.

Immediately following that comment, he turned his head toward Zendaya as she made her way down the red carpet smiling. Entertainment Tonight captured Holland’s reaction to seeing Zendaya, and it has garnered a lot of attention on social media.

The 2019 “Valid Concern” Tweet

Back in 2019, Zendaya tweeted her response to Josh Horowitz, who joked about Zendaya worrying that Holland might choke while performing a stunt for Spider-Man. The response from Zendaya said:

“It’s a valid concern.”

The couple is cutely cringe, and cringely cute, and we don’t wish for them to be any other way.
