After publicly announcing her engagement on Instagram, Lisa Haydon tied the knot with entrepreneur Dino Lalvani at a private ceremony in Thailand. The actress posted some stunning pictures from her wedding and all of them looked like they were right out of a dream.
But looks like the bride isn’t too pleased with the kind of things that have been written about her in-laws in a leading newspaper.
The actress took to Twitter to lash out at DNA for a story that reports her father-in-law Gulu Lalvani is of Pakistani origin. The article also states that Bollywood won’t mind bidding Lisa goodbye, now that she is married.
In a series of tweets, Lisa took on the newspaper:
Dear @dna my husband is Indian. My father in law – Gulu Lalvani, was born in pre partition India and was thrown out of what is today…

Called Pakistan – to call someone who has gone through the struggles of partition non Indian is absurd.

Sad this article are the good wishes you would give a girl on the day she begins a new&exciting chapter in her life.

She even took a sarcastic dig by stating that she will remain a part of Bollywood post her marriage as well.
How nice to be on set today STILL working in “Bollywood” post marriage 🙀🙀
