Those of us who either binged on many tasteful Pakistani TV shows alongside our mothers, or are simply Fawad Khan fans, know that some of the finest actors and musicians hail from Pakistan. So, now that the Bombay High Court has ruled against a petition that wanted to ban actors and other creatives from the country from working or performing in India, we’re obviously thrilled. Because let’s face it, talent can’t be denied.
Here, take a look at all the wonderful artists we now hope to see more often:
1. Fawad Khan
From Kapoor & Sons to Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Fawad Khan is clearly a great actor, we can’t wait to see more of him.
2. Mahira Khan
We saw too little of Mahira Khan, and now have the opportunity to see her in Indian movies more often. Which is lovely!
3. Hania Aamir
Hania Aamir is already such a favourite among people, not just because of her acting work but because of her adorable YouTube channel and we’d love to see her in Indian movies and shows as well.
4. Saba Qamar
Once again, we simply didn’t get to see enough of Saba. Hindi Medium was brilliant and it’s a sign that the audience has pretty much chosen her.
5. Sanam Saeed
The entire world fell in love with Sanam Saeed as Kashaf in Zindagi Gulzar Hai. Why wouldn’t we want to see her make her way to Indian cinema? Also, also, she’s absolutely stunning!
6. Imran Abbas
We last saw Imran Abbas in Creature 3D and would love to see more of his work as well.
7. Sarah Khan
From Alvida to Tumhare Hain Sarah Khan is done fabulous work in Pakistan, and we’re hoping that she chooses to do a project in India as well.
8. Iqra Aziz Hussain
As many of us live online nowadays, I’m sure you must’ve caught a glimpse of Iqra in her show Suno Chanda. There are obviously other great projects the actor has done, but this particular show is really being talked about widely. And we hope she brings her talent here as well.
9. Atif Aslam
Guys, do we even need to explain why we want to see (and hear) more of Atif Aslam? I mean, he’s a legend, his work has left a serious dent on hearts (in the best way possible), we can’t miss talking about him.
10. Ali Zafar
Ali Zafar has been behind some really great Bollywood songs and we’ve seen quite a range from him in many Indian films, it would be excellent to see more of Mr. Zafar.
11. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan
Another musical legend that we simply cannot forget. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has given us such brilliant soulful music and we can’t ever get over any of it.
12. Ali Sethi
Ali Sethi is everyone’s favourite. His music strum’s chords in our hearts we didn’t even know existed. So – yes, we’d LOVE to see him work and perform in India.
We’re so glad that HC rejected the plea because, quite frankly, talent has nothing to do with nationality or religion.
