Remember ‘A Band Of Boys?’ Here’s What They Are Up To Now

A Band Of Boys – the 90s band of cuties – stole our hearts with their very first album release Yeh Bhi Woh Bhi in 2002. India’s first all-boy band not only topped the charts for weeks but also created a new image for pop in the country. Songs like Gori, She Drives Me Crazy and Ishq really got us grooving! They were so good that they were called the Backstreet Boys and the Boyzone of India!

The band originally constituted of five members, later only four of them stuck by.

In 2003, A Band Of Boys came up with their first movie Kiss Kis Ko, and though the movie did not do that well, their songs made everybody groove to the tunes yet again. Then came a long break.

In 2007, these 4 charming talents got together again and released their second album. In collaboration with another band named Nexus , they called themselves Xenabob , and once again stole our hearts with what they called IDM or intelligent dance music. It not only hit the chart busters but was also a hit all across FM channels.

The group did not have any more album releases. But then again, their talents went beyond music.

In 2014, ABOB hit the music scene back with their tongue-in-cheek, catchy song for the Ungli Campaign – urging people to vote for the general elections. The song’s lyrics took a satirical dig at the recent political faux-pas like connecting rape with eating chowmein, and the fun in riding on roads full of potholes.

But that was the last we heard of the four desi singing sensations!

Karan Oberoi

This hot hunk discovered his passion for acting and that’s just what he has been doing. After ABOB, Karan has been acting in tele soaps and commercials and this boy has made it real big.

After his debut in Swabhimaan , he went on to act in many more TV soaps like Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi , Zindagi Badal Sakta Hai Hadsaa, The Border to name a few. He also hosted the Titan Antakshari on Zee TV.

Siddharth Haldipur

Now a part of the Sangeet-Siddharth music director duo, this stunner is definitely making it big. He has made music for top notch Bollywood movies such as Murder 2, Blood Money, Aatma , Fruit & Nut, Bird Idol and Hum Hai Raahi Car Ke .

Sherrin Varghese

Still rocking the Bombay music scene, h e does live vocal electronica gutted with organic instrumentation on digital low ends. He recently made music for the film Double Barrel casting Prithviraj Sukumaran , Indrajith Sukumaran and Swathi Reddy.

The rocker at heart was lucky to find love and tied the knot with Shefali Panchal. He carries off the bald look best!

Chin2 Bhosle

This groovy music lover has channelized his passion in a different way from the other ABOB members. The hardcore performer has now become a music teacher and a kids entertainer. Though, you will get a glimpse of him performing on stage often enough.

His first solo album Pyaar khushnaseeb featured in the top 10 Indipop charts and also won ‘Best Music Album of the year’ award. He is also doing well as a radio jockey and has hosted few musical TV shows.

Sudhanshu Pandey

After being a part of ABOB for a brief while, this hottie went on to rock the ramp. The model debuted in Bollywood in the 2000 movie Khiladi 420. The multi talented hunk has also fetaured in several other Bollywood movies like Singh Is Kinng, Dus Kahaniyaan and Saas Bahu Aur Sensex to name a few. He has also been a part of a number of tele series.
