Thousands of people move to Mumbai everyday with just one dream of becoming an actor. Some people don’t even get a chance while there are people who do get that golden chance but don’t make it big and get lost after their grand debut.
We have a list of such Bollywood actors who got their big break but couldn’t make it big in the acting industry and eventually got lost. Check it out below:
1. Adhyayan Suman
After starting his acting career with Haal-e-dil in 2008, he couldn’t make any waves in Bollywood. But you spot him on news channels these days adding the fuel to Kangana-Hrithik issue.
Son of actor Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman started his acting career with Haal-e-dil in 2008, which didn’t work well in the box office. After this, he gave flops like Jashnn, and Dehraadun Diary. He was last seen in 2014 in the movie, Heartless, which just like his other movies didn’t do well. And well, that explains why we don’t see him often on the silver screen. Anyway, these days he is in the limelight because of Kangana-Hrithik issue.
2. Harman Baweja
Love Story 2050 marked the debut of Harman Baweja in Bollywood. However, after a series of flops, we haven’t seen much of him on the screen. He was last seen in Chaar Sahibzaade (2014).
Baweja debuted with the movie Love Story 2050 alongside Priyanka Chopra in 2008, which turned out to be a box office disaster, that too a big one. His other movies, like Victory, What’s Your Raashee?, Dishkiyaaoon, It’s My Life, also didn’t help him in any way and needless to say, we haven’t seen him on the silver screen since then.
3. Sikander Kher
Sikander Kher debuted with the movie, Woodstock Villa in 2008. We saw him last in Tere Bin Laden 2 as David Chadhdha. He recently got engaged to Sonam Kapoor’s cousin, Priya Singh.
Son of actors Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher, Sikander Kher debuted with the movie, Woodstock Villa in 2008. His other movies, Summer 2007, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, Players also didn’t help him much to take his acting career forward. We saw him last in Tere Bin Laden 2 as David Chadhdha.
4. Fardeen Khan
After winning the Filmfare Best Debut Award for Prem Aggan in 1998, Fardeen Khan proved to be quite a dud. He was last seen in Dulha Mil Gaya (2010). As reports suggest, he is all set to make a comeback as a producer but he is open to acting roles as well.

5. Kumar Gaurav
After debuting in Love Story (1981), Kumar Gaurav did a number of movies but couldn’t make a mark in the industry. Currently busy with his construction and travel business, the actor was last seen in Kaante (2002).

6. Ruslaan Mumtaz
Ruslaan couldn’t charm us much after his debut movie MP3. But watch out for him in 2016 as he’s set to appear in the movie, Khel Toh Ab Shuru Hoga.
This MP3 – Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar (2007) actor went on to do movies like Tere Sang, Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai, and Dangerous Ishq. However, he couldn’t charm us the same way he did in MP3. But well, he will be coming back to the silver screen in 2016 in the movie, Khel Toh Ab Shuru Hoga.
7. Mahaakshay Chakraborty
Mahaakshay Chakraborty aka Mimoh debuted with the 2008 film Jimmy. However, we will get to see him this year in a comedy movie named Tukkaa Fitt.
Son of super star Mithun Chakraborty, Mahaakshay Chakraborty aka Mimoh debuted with the 2008 film Jimmy. But the film bombed at the box office. However, he continued his Bollywood journey with movies like Haunted – 3D, Rocky and Ishqedarriyaan. We will get to see him this year in a comedy movie named Tukkaa Fitt.
8. Amar Upadhyay
Amar Upadhyay aka Mihir Virani made his film debut with Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge! in 1998. He was also seen in the movie, LOC Kargil (2003). Fortunately, he got back to television shows, one of them being Saath Nibhaana Saathiya.

Zayed Khan made his acting debut with Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne in 2003. He was last seen in Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene in 2015.

He was not only nominated for this movie but was also offered a role opposite Shahrukh Khan and Sushmita Sen in Farah Khan’s Main Hoon Na (2004). However, even after doing many movies he is best remembered for the song, ‘mohabbat hai mirchi’ and his long hair look in Main Hoon Na. He was last seen in Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene in 2015.
10. Rahul Roy
Apart from Aashiqui, he is best remembered for his appearance in TV reality show, Bigg Boss in 2007. He’s all set to make a comeback in Bollywood with his movie, 2B or not to B, which is currently in its post production.
After his grand debut in Aashiqui in 1990, Rahul Roy did his share of movies but couldn’t leave any mark in Bollywood. Apart from Aashiqui, he is best remembered for his appearance in TV reality show, Bigg Boss in 2007.
11. Barun Sobti
Television actor Barun Sobti made his acting debut with Main Aur Mr. Riight in 2014. However, he will be seen in three movies in 2016.
After his television stint in shows like Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? and Baat Hamari Pakki Hai, Barun Sobti made his debut in movies with Main Aur Mr. Riight in 2014 but it didn’t do well at the box office. 12. Imaad Shah
After debuting in Naseeruddin Shah’s Yun Hota To Kya Hota (2006), Imaad Shah did a series of movies. He did his last movie in 2014 called M Cream but it hasn’t been released yet.

After being awarded the Best Male Debut for Udaan in 2010, Rajat Barmecha was seen doing a lot of cameos and short films. He is currently involved with a web series called Girl in the City.
For his debut movie, Udaan (2010), Rajat Barmecha was awarded the Best Male Debut. However, after this critically acclaimed movie, we didn’t get to see him in many films except for some cameos and short films. Hope to see more of this talented actor!
14. Ashmit Patel
Ashmit Patel’s character in Murder made waves in Bollywood, however it didn’t last long. Now, he can often be spotted in reality shows. His last one was Power Couple, where he was seen romancing actress Mahek Chahal.
Ashmit Patel started his career with a movie called Inteha (2003) but it was Murder (2004) that gained him some acting credit. However, movies like Fight Club – Members Only, Dil Diya Hai, Toss, to name a few, marked his exit from Bollywood. But well, he can often be spotted in reality shows.
15. Vatsal Sheth
After his debut movie Taarzan: The Wonder Car, he did his share of movies but couldn’t make it big. We last saw him in Jai Ho doing a cameo.
We are pretty sure you remember this face. As a teenager, he started his acting career on television with Just Mohabbat. He didn’t have to wait too long after that for his movie debut as he was signed by the director duo Abbas-Mustan for Taarzan: The Wonder Car in 2003. Nanhe Jaisalmer, Heroes, Paying Guests are some other movies in which he acted. We last saw him in Jai Ho doing a cameo.
16. Vivaan Shah
Vivaan Shah made his acting debut with the critically acclaimed movie, 7 Khoon Maaf in 2007 and did movies like Happy New Year, Bombay Velvet after that.
Vivaan Shah is the younger son of actors Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak who made his acting debut with the critically acclaimed movie, 7 Khoon Maaf in 2007. He went on to do movies like Happy New Year, Bombay Velvet after that. We hope to see more of this talented actor in the coming years.
