1. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

This scene was Simran‘s original introduction in the film. 

While it doesn’t reveal much about her, it provids quite an insight into Amrish Puri’s character. Why Bauji became the khadoos bauji, this scene has all the answers.

2. Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani

The first half of the film had Naina as the outsider who is trying to make friends in a new environment. But when we see her after the interval, she is Aditi‘s best friend. 

That jump was quite sudden but that’s mainly because this bonding scene between the two was deleted from the film.

3. Dear Zindagi

Alia’s character finishes her journey in the film by making a movie about Donna Maria and dedicates it to Jehangir Khan. 

In this deleted scene, we see how SRK’s character actually told her the story and it created a huge impact on Kaira‘s mind. This one is a particularly beautiful scene.

4. Tamasha

After Tara breaks up with Ved, she comes over to his house to clear some things up. The performances in this one are truly mind blowing.

Kabir Khan‘s first day at the camp isn’t welcomed by the senior players. 

This scene was deleted from the film but actually establishes that the players took a long time to warm up to their new coach.

6. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

Rahul gets to know about his brother much later in the film but Rohan tries to find out if his older brother still misses their parents. This beautiful emotional scene would have fit perfectly in the film.

SRK’s character in the film knows that he doesn’t have much time left and so, he wants Naina and Rohit to get together and be there for each other. 

In this scene, Aman plants a thought in Naina‘s head to go out with Rohit and give their relationship a chance.

Shashi‘s life completely changes after she joins her language classes. Her niece is the only one who knows about her secret and Shashi really enjoys discussing her new life with someone.

The film got all the quirks of a small town perfectly and even in this deleted scene, where the family’s men have a few drinks in the car before the wedding, they have captured that essence perfectly.
