Hi! My name is Delhi! I was rescued from the streets of…. You guessed it right! Delhi! This is my story.

My mommy, Jessica Haltzman, heard me crying while she was staying in a hostel in Delhi. And let’s just say it was love at first sight!

This is a picture of me when this stranger picked me up off the side of the road in New Delhi. This is the story: She heard a dog crying from inside her hostel room so she rushed outside to see if everything was okay. That’s when she found me right outside her hostel. She picked me up and kept asking all the tuk tuk drivers if they knew of a vet. Finally, she found one. When I got to the vet we learned that both my hips were broken. I also had a cut that was infected. The vets in New Delhi fixed me all up and I started feeling a lot better. While I was at the vet my rescuer didn’t have to think twice about keeping me. She knew that we were meant to be. So now I am traveling around with her and I will eventually go home to the USA with my new mommy. And from there started the journey of a lifetime.

Clearly, I was born to travel.

I am the best traveler. Since I grew up in the streets of New Delhi I am not phased by anything. This is me when I went on a 12 hour train ride from New Delhi to Varanasi. I slept the entire time and didn’t have any accidents. Did I mention that I am already potty trained? I am the smartest boy around. My mom didn’t even have to potty train me as I just tell her when it’s time for me to go. I’m not even kidding! Look at me! Way better than any Instagram model.

I also have an amazing sense of humour.

There were some hurdles.

The last 72 hours have been insane for my mom and I. We didn’t know that in order for me to get back into the USA my rabies vaccination has to be done 30 days prior to my arrival. This means I will be eligible on the 4th to get my export papers from Thailand. We are both exhausted and all she cares about is getting me back to the USA. But my mom is a fighter and we made it!

It was a long journey but I made it.

But life threw challenges at us.

But everyone loved me so much that they didn’t let me suffer for too long.

Like a boss, I took life’s challenges and turned them into a blessing.

I love playing with my buddies!

Just a reminder about how tiny I used to be!

But now I’m a big handsome good boy!

FYI, not boasting but I’m also very famous!

Oh, I’m also very talented!

Just not at taking selfies.

My mom even opened a foundation in my name! More dogs to be rescued!

I’m also an upstanding citizen.

But the journey has just begun and there are more adventures to go on!
