Heartbreaks aren’t easy and can feel like the end of the world. Arslan Valeev, a Russian snake expert and YouTuber, couldn’t handle separation from his wife and killed himself by allowing one of his venomous pet snakes to bite him.
31-year-old Arslan Valeev used to run several YouTube channels with his ex-wife Ekaterina ‘Katya’ Pyatyzhkina. Their channel was quite popular in Russia for their pet snakes and bobcats.
Arslan had reportedly beaten his wife after he suspected her of cheating. Later, he apologised for his behaviour publicly.
Following the domestic violence, Katya divorced Arslan and moved on. Distressed with the breakup of his marriage and seeing his wife with someone else, Arslan filmed himself dying on a live video by allowing his pet snake, a black mamba, bite him.
Black mambas are highly poisonous snakes found in the rocky hills of Southern and Eastern parts of Africa and victims of this snake bite can die within 20 minutes.
A day before he broadcast his death, Arslan had announced a special video of his snake Mamba. While filming his death he said:
Hi… So, guys…. It’s time to do what I must do. Live stream
Arslan went off the camera for a while during which he apparently let the snake out of its terrarium and let it bite him. He didn’t capture the moment when the snake bit him but an ouch can be heard on the video.
In the deeply shocking video, he can be seen in an agonising pain:
One of the viewers who was watching the live broadcast called the ambulance but Arslan couldn’t be saved.
