Shobhaa De’s back at it again. The last time she was in the news, it was for some mindless drivel that she calls an opinion that she posted on Twitter. Specifically, this mindless drivel about the Indian Olympic attempt. Now, in light of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team almost winning the World Cup and the subsequent exposure they’ve received, she had this to say.
As usual, and for obvious reasons, people had some choice words to communicate to her. The twitterati took her to school regarding this senseless statement. Making money from the sport isn’t really wrong, and for a team that’s just hit the spotlight, it’s pretty well-deserved. Basically, the people online really made their displeasure felt –
