When A Racist Heckler Tried To Intimidate Him, This Canadian Sikh Politician Responded With Love

Recently, Jagmeet Singh, a Sikh MPP in Ontario, Canada and an NDP leadership hopeful was giving a speech at one of his ‘JagMeet and Greet’ events when a woman shouted

“When is your sharia going to end?”

Sharia, as you may know, is an Islamic law based on the teachings of the Koran. Far from being shaken however, Jagmeet replied

“We don’t want to be intimidated by hate. We don’t want hatred to ruin a positive event. Let’s show people how we would treat someone with love.”

Soon, people started chanting ‘love and courage’, Jagmeet’s campaign slogan, and the woman finally stormed off. Watch it all unfurl below.
