These Ads For Cocaine Accessories Were Actually Published In Mainstream Media. No Kidding!

The 60s and 70s in America were notorious for the gargantuan amount of drugs being consumed. The number of uppers, downers, stimmies and god knows what else doing the rounds led to a unique market for drug paraphernalia, as well as advertising for the same. Case in point, these pictures compiled by The World’s Best Ever , showcasing ads for cocaine straws, spoons and slabs that were being broadcast during the height of the coke boom between 1976 and 1981. In the words of Rick James , “Cocaine is a hell of a drug!”

Most of them are super expensive and completely pointless

But some of them are pretty witty.

The most impressive would have to be this vacuum-cleaner shaped cocaine straw though!
