The new season of Black Mirror might be a ways away, but there’s good tidings afoot. Netflix just released a tiny clue, in the form of a page title Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. This comes a few weeks after Netflix posted and deleted a mention of a Black Mirror movie.
So there you go, we’re getting a feature length Black Mirror film, and it’s out on December the 28th.
Also, according to images that people have been putting up of the sets they’re building, the movie is based in the 1980s!
According to Engadget, the movie has a massive runtime of 5 hours and 12 minutes, leading some to believe that it may be a choose-your-own-adventure style film.
As for the title, Bandersnatch was originally a bloodthirsty creature from Lewis Carroll’s book Through the Looking Glass. However, according to certain Twitter users, the name might refer to a game from the 80s of the same name. The game was never made however, so we can’t really know anything for sure at this point.
All we can be sure about is that come December 28th, things are about to get dark… and mirrory.
