The English language has evolved over the years. I don’t just mean in the ‘ye olde nunnery’ sense, but in the fact that the same words we use today actually used to mean something totally different, and sometimes, the exact opposite, of what it means to day. Archaic meanings of some of the words we use today can be a hilarious eye-opener, plus it’s probably a good way to sly-diss someone.
